What a weekend! My wife came back from a 10 day business trip to Bangkok amongst all the political turmoil. That is one place I really have to go back to for some street photography! We did not spend time on the farm, we first enjoyed mom being back at home then visited friends on a farm close to ours but with something completely different on offer. Late feed-back of the weekend on the farm. I find regularly visiting the same place stunts one’s artistic or photographic abilities. You see the same things, birds, trees etc and start missing the photos. I’m fortunate to spend most weekends on the farm and I run out of ideas. Weekend 12-14 March 2010

Arrived on the farm late on Friday night. I had with me two new toys that arrived from the States the week before. My wife braved Joburg traffic to collect. These were two new lenses I got from a friend visiting from America. One a Canon EF 300mm f4 IS prime lens the other a 70-200mm f2.8 IS. All I can say is wow - wow quality, wow glass, wow heavy but what awesome image quality. I had the 300mm on most of the weekend alternating with a 1.4 teleconverter (420mm) on and off.
