I hope you had a restful and blessed Easter weekend. We started ours with a very insightful Good Friday sermon about the meaning of the Passover by Michael Sischy from Jews for Jesus http://www.jewsforjesus.co.za/ It was a great privilege to be given an insight into a part of the Jewish culture, I wish we could engage in cross cultural events more often.

We received a lot of late season rain on the farm which is great for the winter as there will be enough moisture to sustain the trees until Spring. The deciduous trees and shrubs retain leaves longer and generate new growth quicker – which provide food for the animals like kudu. Unfortunately the rain plays havoc with my photographic exploits – trying to keep the equipment dry or diffusing too much of the light.

But there is always a ray of sun or the benefits of digital to assist in producing a few shots. On Monday morning a Spoonbill stork visited again. These are very & shy wary birds, this one proved ellusive and difficult to photograph amongst the tangle of trees.
